Don’t succumb to these false images of perfect; learn to love your body. Adolescence is a difficult time physically and emotionally because your body is constantly changing and sometimes you feel as though your proportions don’t quite add up. That’s a typical feeling that we all have, even those with seemingly perfect features.

Understand that your body is still changing and the way it looks now isn’t the way it will always look. Dieting is not right for the adolescent body; all you need is a healthy diet and regular exercise to melt those pounds away. Celebrities and athletes have a host of professionals at their disposal to make them look good so don’t hold yourself to such high standards. Do what’s in your power to do—eat healthy and exercise—and know that the rest of it is meaningless.
